Thomas Owsianski new head of Marketing at ŠKODA

Mladá Boleslav, December 5, 2012 – As of December 1, 2012, Thomas Owsianski (45) has become the new head of Marketing at ŠKODA AUTO. He followed Axel Schröder (44), who will assume the position of head of Marketing at Volkswagen Brazil.

Thomas Owsianski possesses long-term international experience in senior sales and marketing positions in the automobile industry. Prior to his switch to ŠKODA AUTO, he worked as the Chief Marketing Officer for Opel/Vauxhall and was responsible for the marketing activities of both brands. Before that, the 45-year old Owsianski worked in various managing positions at GM and Ford in Germany, Hungary and Russia, among others. Owsianski studied economics.

The previous head of Marketing at ŠKODA, Axel Schröder, will assume new responsibilities within the Volkswagen Group and become the head of Marketing of the Volkswagen brand in Brazil. Schröder worked several years at ŠKODA AUTO and enjoyed significant involvement in the development of ŠKODA's new corporate identity.
